Polish castles make for a great day out

History and Poland go together like hand and glove, and the country is famous for its monuments and historic buildings. But it's Poland's castles that really catch the eye. In all there are about 500 dotted across the landscape from the romantic to the gothic, and the imposing to the beautiful, and all are well worth a visit... particularly if you fancy yourself as a knight in shining armour or a fairytale princess.
